I am using the concept of Hiraeth to explore the versatility of fibre arts. especially crochet. I understand this Welsh term as a strong and unavoidable connection to home, community, land and art.
The page of my books are many things at once. They have been landscapes, abstractions, and evidence of my hometown, Usk. There are rich reds of St.Mary’s church, glowing blues and greens of my neighbour’s Christmas lights and deep blue blacks from the nights walking home to the street where I grew up.
